Job Summary:

Brief Summary:

The purpose of this position is to lead, plan, coordinate, implement and report on the Mobile Health and Nutrition Team Project (MHNT Project) in Takhar provinces.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitoring of Activities:

• Develop the project M&E plan with the consultation of M&E Manager and Project Manager

• Formulate monthly M&E action plan and share with the project team for monitoring purposes

 

 




 

 

 

 

 

 

• Develop data collection tools for the monitoring of the various activities and tasks• Pre-test the data collection tools at the field and revise it as per the need and requirement• Organize daily visits to field to monitor the MHNT activities and operations

• Organize visits to meet with Shuras and follow up on risks and problems related to project

• Develop M&E tracking table and record the data on daily basis

• Assist project management in regularly providing data on the performance of project against achieving planned targets

• Execute assessments, field monitoring visits and provide updates and monitoring reports to the project coordinator and M&E Manager

• Provide regular feedback of M&E findings to M&E Manager

• Develop case studies and success stories on the achievement

• Keep records of the monitoring files, success stories and case studies

• Submit a monthly report to the Project Coordinator

• Perform routine backup and restore procedures.

• Assist social workers and teachers on managing the risks through local measures

• Submit timely monitoring, supervision, evaluation and other relevant report

Project Evaluation:

• Develop evaluation plan in consultation with Project Manager and M&E Manager

• Develop data collection questionnaire on the basis of the project results

• Sample the beneficiaries with 50% proportion of women and male from target MHNT locations

• Develop evaluation report on the achievements

Project Accountability:

• Setup complaint feedback mechanism and timely respond the beneficiaries’ complaints

• Engage the local community in selection of MHNT locations

• Engage the local community equally in the provision of services to males, females and children

• Organize community feedback meetings at the end of the health services of MHNT

• Discuss and respond to conflict sensitivities aroused as a result of the MHNT services

• Disseminate the learnings of project with local community and district authorities• Disseminate the learnings with partner office and ECW management• Disseminate reports with the government, Health cluster and other health partners• Record best practices and success stories

MEAL and Partnership Management

• Develop positive relationship with the project partner organization

• Share the MEAL plan, guide the MEAL Assistant on the data collection and reporting

• Visit the project site of the partner organization, monitor their progress and report on it

• Organize project oversight meetings, track the risks and develop action plans for its mitigation and resolution

• Lead on the MEAL reporting to UNICEF on monthly and quarterly basis

Job Requirement:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in the Medicines, Nutrition, or Health Studies

• Hold at least three years’ experience in the MHNT, health or nutritional projects

• Minimum five years of M&E experience. Knowledge and experience of M&E tools, methodologies and approaches (quantitative, qualitative and participatory) is required.

• Strong computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office package and the Internet are required.

• Ability to define and analyze indicators

• Capacity to understand and analyze the context

• Ability to take quick decisions according to the context in coordination with the team

 

 

 

 

 




 

 

 

 

 

 

• Excellent writing and communication skills• Capacity to work under pressure• Excellent knowledge of English, Dari and Pashto• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Word and Excel)• Ability to travel to field in region as required/directed.
