ECW thematically delivers services in Health, Education, Gender justice, Protection, Nutrition, Livelihood and Food security, and organizational development sectors. In addition, ECW has a strong background in Capacity building, Advocacy, Community Outreach, Networking, Accountability, and community-based protection programs. Job Summary:

Brief Summary:

The purpose of this position is to lead, plan, coordinate, implement and report on the Mobile Health and Nutrition Team Project (MHNT Project) in Takhar provinces.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management:

• Build sufficient knowledge on the project, develop short description of key tasks and keep on dissemination with staff, stakeholders and donor wherever necessary

• Responsible for developing appropriate policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain the highest project implementation standards

• Oversee the successful implementation of project MHNT activities, ensuring that teams are following work plans, that activities are on schedule, and those project deliverables are completed according to the grant agreement

 

 

 

 

 




 

 

 

 

• Conduct regular coordination and meetings with relevant stakeholders, communities’ representatives, local authorities and suppliers on the project gaps and challenges• Develop work plans in line with financial pipelines, work with financial and logistics to plan and procure supplies within program budget procedure, donor requirement, and government guidelines.• Manage contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance and project success.

• Ensure that communities are informed about our projects and what we do, are aware of their entitlements, are comfortable giving feedback and that feedback is used to improve the quality of the MHNT services;

• Supervise, support, and guide project staff in all locations, including building staff capacity through training and mentoring.

• Ensure compliance with security protocol and policies, local understanding culture, norms, and sensitivities

• With support from Human Resources Officer, manage the life cycle of individuals within the project team from pre-recruitment to exit, including performance management processes, people’s development and working with HR on issues such as disciplinary matters among others.

• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a positive image and the overall credibility of ECW

• Support the representation of ECW at key events and in key forums, participating in inter-NGO coordination meetings, cluster meetings, meetings with government departments at national and provincial levels, and any other relevant institutions.

• Assist M&E Officers to develop and finalize project monitoring plan

• Ensure beneficiaries are aware of complaints and response mechanisms and that these are accessible to targeted beneficiaries and communities

• Integrate M&E recommendations into project implementation

• Assist in security assessment for the activities and staff and Inform his/her line manager about any security incident in a timely manner

 

 

 

 

 




 

 

 

 

Project Partnership Management• Develop positive relationship with the project partner organization and supervise all their implementation, logistics, M&E, MHNT teams, and reporting• Provide technical guidance in logistics, implementation, M&E and reporting of the activities• Guide the partner office to follow the compliance, quality, activities and reporting guidelines

• Provide approval on the logistics, financials and work plans on monthly basis

• Conduct field visits to monitor and align the implementation of the partner field

Donor’s Communication and Reporting:

• Communicate with donor for all the technical and agreement related issues on timely manner

• Screen the project issues and risks and timely communicate with donor

• Receive partner reports, compile and consolidate with ECW reports, and submit final versions to donor office

Job Requirement:

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in the Medicines, Nutrition, or Project Management

• Hold at least eight years’ experience in the MHNT, health or nutritional projects

• Advanced knowledge of project cycle management

• Significant experience in project management and team management

• Ability to define and analyze indicators

• Capacity to understand and analyze the context

• Ability to take quick decisions according to the context in coordination with the team

• Ability to manage a team and work in an international team

• Ability to have a global overview of a program

• Ability to manage and monitor a budget

• Reactivity, anticipation, adaptability, capacity to take initiatives
