It enjoys consultative status with the Economic and social Council of the United Nations and is a signatory to the Code of Conduct for International Red Cross and red Crescent Moments and NGOs in Disaster Relief. IRA started its humanitarian activities for Afghan Refugees in Pakistan and Afghan people inside Afghanistan in 1992. Since then, IRA continued providing assistances in different fields: Emergency Relief, Agriculture, Health, Education, Engineering and construction, irrigation, and social welfare.




Job Summary:

  •  The GBV and CP Caseworker will be responsible for facilitation of clinical care for sexual assault survivors and child protection standards. He/she will ensure complete care and treatment of sexual assault survivors at the response centers including referrals to partner agencies for further case management. The position holder will support other staff in provision of psychosocial support, awareness raising activities, girl shine promotion activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and confidential services to survivors of GBV and CP;
  • Document client information through accurate filling of intake and consent forms and ensure confidential and safe storage
  • Support the maintenance of case management system by maintaining client confidentiality
  • Ethically and confidentially collect and store GBV and CP data. Participate in interpretation of the analyzed data on trends and work with the project team and supervisor to disseminate information for referral purpose.
  • Filing and maintaining case history reports
  • Serving as a liaison between the client and social, financial, health and legal services
  • Developing a plan of action to improve the client’s well-being;
  • Planning regular follow-ups to assess progress and additional needs;
  • Reviewing and modifying plans in coordination with case management supervisor as circumstances change for the individual
  • Interviewing clients to assess their situational needs
  • Determining which services and assistance are necessary
  • Serving as a liaison between the client and social, financial, health and legal services
  • Developing a plan of action to improve the client’s well-being;
  • Planning regular follow-ups to assess progress and additional need
  • Reviewing and modifying plans in coordination with case management supervisor as circumstances change for the individual
  • Call for case management for each individual with a need of multiple services;
  • Record all the follow up and visits with beneficiaries and their families
  • Any other official related tasks may assign to hem/her

Job Requirement:

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Social science, psychosocial, economic, or related areas.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience of working in the GBV and CP component

Required Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of local languages Dari and Pashto
  • Able to find out case management child protection and GBV cases and referral system
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Have the extreme patience and abilities required for working with drug addicts.
  • Be punctual, on time, and able to meet deadlines.
