Job Description

Overview

The position will be responsible for establishing and developing the Food for Good program throughout the city and surrounding region. This role will be multidisciplinary including distribution of meals, managing warehouse operations, and growth of Food for Good’s operations, relationships, and impact in the city. Will be in charge of drivers (4 to 6 people under).





Responsibilities

  1.  Source and deliver 10,000 meals/week
    2.    Loading delivery vans and driving vans to make deliveries to partners or events
    3.    Help to identify local nonprofit partners to receive meals
    4.    Execute overall strategy for Food for Good employee engagement in the local area. Create and manage high-quality employee events across Food for Good strategic areas.
    5.    Establish and nurture deep, high-trust relationships with local nonprofit organizations. Understand their objectives and develop strategy on how best to partner with them.
    6.    Identify and develop relationships with key internal stakeholders.
    7.    Analyze and report on key program information, budget, metrics, and insights. Conduct regular program reviews focused on data-based lessons learned and forward-looking improvements.
    8.    Work with key business partners to nurture an authentic culture of volunteerism and corporate community engagement.
    9.    Set goals and metrics to ensure effective implementation of strategies
    10.   Monitors the success of community and volunteer engagement strategies and makes course corrections in order to meet the established goals
  2. In charge of on time deliveries, fleet maintenance, loading and unloading in the warehouse, accurate count of the mails, charge of any electronic devices (iphone, field cars), among other duties.Additional responsibilities until program is developed and expanded:
    1.    Supervise all of Food for Good’s daily operations in the designated region.
    2.    Ensure accurate, on-time deliveries of meals to community locations.
    3.    Manage warehouse operations and product orders.
    4.    Be the key contact point for customers in that region.
    5.    Lead the local relationship with building landlords and building maintenance. 
    6.    Manage city fleet to include all safety and registration needs.
    7.    Be the safety lead for the location and ensure all safety compliance needs are met.
    8.    Proven track record leading delivery driver staff
    9.    Track record of delivering exceptional customer service
    10.    Experience managing suppliers and inventory accurately and with minimal waste
    11.    Experience with basic facilities management
    12.    Preferred to have a Class B license or higher (e.g., Class A, CDL)
    13.    Strong relational, collaborative, and communication skills
    14.    Willingness to embrace ambiguity and a dynamic environment

    •    Food for Good Regional Operations Analyst– Weekly
    •    Field Team (drivers and warehouse staff) – Daily
    •    Non-Profit Partners (e.g. food banks) – Daily
    •    Food for Good Team (Sr. Manager, Assistant Managers) – Bi-Weekly
    •    Suppliers (food, milk, trucks, etc.) – Daily
    •    Ensure accuracy between systematic order and physical order being delivered
    •    Report packing daily numbers, stories, and issues to the operations supervisor 
    •    Help ensure equipment is working well and report outages to supervisor
    •    Supervise the delivery staff to ensure accurate, on-time daily deliveries of fresh meals to community locations 

     

    •    Deliver operational efficiencies including routing and daily meals per route metrics
    •    Ensure accurate packing and safe loading of trucks
    •    Lead the daily interaction with nonprofit partners including customer service and orders 
    •    Interview and hire delivery staff for full time employees
    •    Work with temp agency for sourcing contractor staff when needed
    •    Ensure delivery staff are following all policies and procedures 
    •    Report delivery daily numbers, stories, and issues to the operations supervisor 
    •    Ensure optimal customer service levels are being provided to internal and external customers
    •    Lead delivery team in a professional way, ensuring professional appearance, language and behaviors (PepsiCo code of conduct) 
    •    Lead safety agenda with frontline-inclusive of geotab parameters and accident investigation support
    •    Ensure effective management of fleet operations-maintenance of vehicles, fuel cards, and keys.
    •    Provide consistent coaching to driver team-route rides
    •    Support team with management of PepsiCo owned devices-phones, etc. 
    •    Maintain confirmation of receipt (photos taken by drivers) on a daily basis and store historical information in case of audit

Working schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (with over time eligible).




Qualifications

 

  •   High school diploma
  •   Bilingual – preferred
  •   Experience with fleet and basic facilities management 
  •   Preferred to have a Class B license or higher (e.g., Class A, CDL)
    •    Experience in a direct to business or direct to consumer operations
    •    This position requires previous leadership in community engagement, strong public speaking and writing skills, and the ability to manage staff and volunteers
    •    The candidate will be an energetic individual with initiative, imagination, strong organizational, strategic and interpersonal skills, and have experience and demonstrated success at working with volunteers or related audiences
    •    Brings new and exciting ideas to the organization, and is capable of listening to insight from team members and testing new initiatives
    •    Ability to plan, build, and internally and externally market an entrepreneurial program
    •    Demonstrate enthusiasm and the ability to collaborate with staff and volunteers, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
