Intel has announced a major expansion of Intel’s production capacities in Europe and plans to develop two first-of-their-kind semiconductor fabs in Magdeburg, Germany, the capital of Saxony-Anhalt. Planning has started, with construction expected to begin in the first half of 2023 and production planned to come online in 2027, subject to European Commission State aid approval and funding approval by the German authorities. This role entails intensive planning and design to support this project and related projects.
The Geo Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Partner (IDM 2.0)analyzes DEI data, builds strategy, designs, develops and implements DEI programs and monitors impact, and guides Business Unit (BU) and geo teams to promote diversity and inclusion across the organization, in partnership with Business HR (BHR) and other HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs).

This role focuses specifically on supporting Intel’s expansion in Magdeburg, Germany as a part of our IDM 2.0 strategy. The individual creates and executes initiatives to support BU growth strategies, with a focus on reaching our corporate diversity and inclusion goals. This includes efforts to attract, acquire, engage and retain diverse talent, build an inclusive and equitable culture, and develop and progress this workforce in their careers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partners across CoEs to co-develop a talent plan (for sourcing, hiring, retention and progression of diverse talent) which comprehends both internal and external environment and opportunities
  • Identifies specific partner organizations to help drive diverse talent pipeline and/or advance community goals
  • Analyzes data, draws conclusions, uses data to influence and agrees priorities/ actions with the site expansion team.
  • Defines DEI strategy and focus areas in support of talent plan to ramp the site in consultation with BHR, local leadership and global stakeholders, including executives.
  • Sources and executes DEI programs and resources, leveraging corporate initiatives where possible, adjusting to the delivery needs of the business unit, site and region.
  • Engages with local communities, collaborating closely with the Global Public Affairs team to integrate diversity and inclusion in local partnerships.
  • Identifies, implements and reports on progress against goals and the effectiveness of the site’s DEI initiatives.
  • Provides input to the promotion, communication, and education of DEI programs internally and externally.
  • Reporting and Stakeholders:

A key member of the Magdeburg HR and leadership team, this role reports into Director of Global Inclusion and matrixes into the HR Director for the site.
Works in tight partnership with closely with Global Diversity Inclusion and Social Impact, Business HR and other HR CoEs, BU Leaders, Public and Government Affairs Groups and others.

Final location is Magdeburg site
Interim location of this role is Home Based Office until office premises will be available, ETA: Q4 2022


  • Deep DEI subject matter expert, able to bring innovative solutions to this work
  • BS degree in Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion, Business, or related field with 4+ years of successful project management for diversity, inclusion or equity, with OR 5+ years of DEI experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams
  • 2+ years of experience with people data analytics, data-driven storytelling and decision-making.
  • 2+ years of Project Management experience or Project Management Certification.
  • German language

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
